NPK Europe Company A brief historical overview
- 1923
- Pneumatic tools are devices that are operated by compressed air. They were first used in Japan at the end of the Meiji Era (1868 ~1911). Until the First World War, pneumatic tools were not widely used and were entirely imported into Japan. NPK was founded as Nippon Pneumatic Kogyosho at the present location with the objective of undertaking domestic manufacture of pneumatic tools.
- 1938
- The corporate structure was changed to that of a joint-stock company. The company name was changed to the present Nippon Pneumatic Manufacturing Co.,Ltd.
- 1957
- The world ’ s first largest pneumatic hammer IPH released
- 1969
- First contact with Alex Import in Spain and Vimatek in Italy resulting in long lasting dealership for NPK in both countries.
- 1970
- First contact with Nordstahl in Czech Republic, who was NPK Dealer for 34 years, nowadays Alfertec.
- 1971
- NPK dealers are established in all main European countries.
- 1972
- The large hammer HPH series released.
- 1975
- The hydraulic pile driver released.
- 1976
- NPK Europe H-series hammers are released.
- 1978
- NPK Europa B.V. was established in Rotterdam, Holland to expand sales channels in the European Community.
- 1984
- First crusher released with built – in pressure intensifier (later known in Europe as “ powerbooster ” )
- 1985
- The Nabari Plant was newly established as a 4,910 square meter production plant on a 34,313 square meter site in Nabari, Mie.
- 1986
- Steel beam cutter released with intensifier system
- 1988
- Compact crushers released (G-series) with intensifier system.
- 1989
- NPK Manufacturing, Inc. was established in Wickliffe, Ohio to undertake the manufacturing of heavy steel fabrications in the United States.
- 1990
- The large hydraulic hammer E-series released with new structural design.
- 1991
- NPK Europa gets foothold in Germany and starts relation with over 15 dealers.
- 1992
- A computer network was established between NPK in Japan and NPK Europe
- 1995
- An electronic mail network linking NPK in Japan, NPK Europe (Holland) and NPK Construction Equipment, Inc. (USA) was established.
- ISO 9001 1997
- The M-series (multi processors) are introduced: main body with interchangeable jaws for crushing, beam cutting and crunching.
- 1998
- NPK France SA (daughter company of NPK Europe) is established in Limoges, with subsidary in Beziers in order to serve the French market and the North of Africa.
- 1999
- NPK Europe establishes NPK Manufacturing in Holland for production of demolition grabs.
- 2000
- NPK office in Germany is established to intensify service to German dealers and enters the www for the first time in Europe.
- 2001
- NPK Europe expands production to Czech Republic and starts production of European brackets for hydraulic hammers, under ISO9001 and according NPK quality standards.
- 2002
- D-series demolition grabs is extended with two new models, E-series hydraulic hammers new models are introduced with soundproof brackets.
- 2003
- NPK dealer established in Finland (Kesko) extended to Estonia, Latvia and Lithauania.
- 2004
- XYZ-concept for renovation projects is introduced on Bauma 2004. New models for hydraulic hammers are introduced: GH-series. Main Warehouse is moved to Czech Republic, also for extended business in Eastern Europe.
- 2005
- NPK Europe moves head office from Vlaardingen to WTC in Rotterdam. NPK Middle East erected in Dubai.
- 2007
- NPK dealer installed in Ukraine. All sales administration moved to NPK Europe Mfg. s.r.o.
- 2008
- Established NPK Europe (Holland) BV. NPK Czech Republic starts projects for web-based service system.
